I just purchased and done a quick read through. Pretty impressed so far, the product is solid and provides an excellent toolkit for running an Alien defence/recovery type campaign.

I was wondering though if you was planning some sort of follow-up book and building on what you have already done? I can easily see this turning into a full companion type book with rules for the initial invasion (sort of how it is written at the moment), invasion aftermath(Humanity lost, but now resist our Alien Overlords) and a resistance war aftermath (Humanity overthrows the Overlords and Humans/Aliens/Hybrids have to work together to build an integrated society). This setting has a lot of scope for expansion and i’d definitely purchase any further publications.

I have, and I had various notes set down for a companion to expant on interceptors/vehicles, additional aliens and rules, different stages of the invasion (or as you say after) etc.
My main limitation is time (4 books released last month, and another 3 by the end of the year) but I will add it to my to do list!

Awesome stuff. I’m going to use your book as a core component of my campaign. However, I am going to tweak it with a tiered technology mechanics system of my own and a research system I am currently working on. If you’re interested i’d happily send you a draft at some point. Who knows? You might think it will work for a future book.

It doesn't. It was intended to focus on the aftermath of a landing or crash, but it would not be difficult to stat up the UFO's and Interceptors. I might have to add that as a supplement!

There isn't a laid out plot point campaign, but there is a Mission Generator chapter to enable a GM to quickly create an individual mission for each step.

Wanted to provide some quick feedback on this.

The Gear portion of the Character Creation section on page 8 states that Soldiers may, if they wish, replace their Assault Rifle with: Combat Shotgun Or Light Machine Gun & Rocket Launcher. The Gear section on page 11 restates the starting gear, but says each soldier may replace this rifle with one of the following weapons: SIO77 Sniper Rifle, York Class Combat Shotgun, AT51 Machine Gun. One character on each strike team may also take a Vindicator Rocket Launcher. As there is no Light Machine Gun in the weapon list, I assume the second entry is correct and the one in the Chargen section is from an earlier draft that was not updated.

The Area Sensor device on page 14 states it provides a bonus of +2 to Perception and surprise tests for that wearer. I assume that is supposed to be +2 to Notice. Also, it states that the range is limited, but no range is given.

One slight problem with the pdf - when I open in single page view it gives me a full spread of 2 pages, and in double page view I get 4... makes it a bit awkward to read without a very wide screen!

otherwise, content looks fun; the idea of running a base building slow burn campaign (mixing sessions, soldiers in one, diplomats in the next ) is very intriguing.

Thank you for pointing that out. I did enable previews at the time of release, but they have vanished. In re-enabling them, I noticed that the page numbers were missing, so have taken the opportunity to upload the file with page numbers, and also a print-friendly version.

These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
