A Pathfinder Roleplaying Game GM’s Resource supplement by Creighton Broadhurst Widely thought of as a haven for smugglers and other miscreants, rumours swirl as thickly about Coldwater as the persistent sea fogs that sometimes blanket the place for days at a time. Set at the head of a muddy cliff top path, Coldwater is an isolated, dismal place. Its folk are sullen, ugly people and even the village’s ruler hates the place. For all that, Coldwater can be a place of opportunity and adventure. Sometimes, pirates drop anchor off the coast to deal with the local smugglers while rumours of a sunken stair and a nearby cove of ill aspect bring a steady stream of adventurers to the village.Village Backdrops ar...

A Pathfinder Roleplaying Game GM’s Resource supplement by Jacob W. Michaels Perched high up in the mountains on an isolated plateau, the village of Denhearth long dwelled under the deep shadow of the red dragon Cinderblaze. Established as a base for the red dragon’s army and minions, the residents suffered almost as much as those the dragon terrorised until he was slain by the gold dragon Galiantana. Now, under the direction and protection of Galiantana, Denhearth is famed for its Academy of Draconic Arts, a school of sorcery that welcomes all with the blood-born ability. But recently, the gold dragon has withdrawn from public life and rumours swirl as to her whereabouts (or death). With its second dr...

The cult now wants nothing more than to live a sin-free life in their new refuge but events conspire against them. The evil elemental lord of fire has set his sights on the cult and schemes to subvert its good intentions. Aging church leader Dagor Thursh edges closer to death with each day, and a struggle is growing for the right to succeed him, its flames fanned by followers of the elemental lord who...

Bundle price:
 $1.84
Format:
 Watermarked PDF
A Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Compatible GM’s Resource by Mike WelhamIdyll seems like the perfect place to live, but subtle signs something is not right are scattered throughout the village. Why are the residents reluctant to leave the village’s precincts? Why are there so few children in such a prosperous place? How has the village stayed unspoiled with the wasteland surrounding it? Why is the seemingly empty Wardens’ Lodge that once served as the centre of law for Idyll so ominous? Those who investigate too deeply into Idyll’s mystery may discover plane-shattering implications. Whether the curious can share these secrets is yet another question. Village Backdrops are short, richly detailed suppleme...

Village Backdrop: Kennutcat
Regular price: $2.45
Bundle price:
 $1.84
Format:
 Watermarked PDF
A Pathfinder Roleplaying Game GM’s Resource supplement by John Bennett The small island of Kennutcat, with its broad natural harbour and bountiful fishing, proved to be a great boon to early colonizers. After subjugating the native inhabitants, the colonizers quickly established a small prosperous village catering to the many merchant ships sailing the nearby trading routes. Yet, at night, a thick fog rolls in, blanketing the stone streets and wood shingled houses. Strange shapes move in the mists, while sibilant voices echo in the still air. These are Kennutcat’s dead—fathers, mothers, sons and daughters—spirits trapped and inexplicably bound to the island by an unending, unkillable nightmar...

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
