Hoping to bring attention back to this series. Are there plans for bringing out new equipment sets?

That's entirely my fault. I'm getting files prepped this weekend, so expect to have a few more sets added soon.

Talk about timing--that lantern is going to be used in my game Thursday. It's a simple item, but it's exactly what I need for this adventure. Thank you!

Shouldn't Containers (https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/284014/Publishers-Choice-Equipment-2-Containers) be listed here as well?

Hey there :)

just some questions:

- how many (roughly) sets do you plan to include in the subscription?
- is there a way to preview or even contribute ideas for new items?
- technically: when i buy the subscription, it will be updated with the new sets and i only have to redownload it, correct?

That's it for now ;) .... and GREAT ARTWORK !!

Best Regards,
Flo

-We try to do at least 4 images per set and aim for about 20-25 sets for the subscription.
-With the next update (this week) there will be info and a link for customers to submit ideas.
-You should receive an email every time a new file is added to the subscription and be able to download just that file.

Hope that answers your questions, and let me know if you have more.

The price on this is grossly high for a product without a preview of what you are getting. Not hating, just saying this is poor marketing what is being presented as a quality product.

The majority of my customers know the quality of the stock art I sell as well as have been part of or seen the first equipment stock art subscription. This was set up to give them first access at a lower price point and will evolve and increase in cost as more art is added, similar to all the other subscriptions we run.

That is great, but potential new customers who just showed up here have no idea. Maybe a link to past examples or even a working web page/portfolio. Right now I, as a new customer, have zero impetus to buy this. I would imagine you would be interested in more customers...

I haven't yet had a need for Rick's fantasy work, but I use his sci-fi stuff and his design elements. He does good work. And his previous subscriptions, while expensive, deliver a LOT of material.

Hi Rick,

Potential new customer here, so just to clarify, this will be updated over time? We purchase now at this price and all future updates will be free, or we can purchase when it is complete for a higher price?

When the subscription is finished, how many items do you imaging it including (unique items, not packs/bundles)?

Yes, you purchase at the current price and receive notifications when new sets are added. Over time, and the more sets that get added causes the subscription price to increase. When it is complete, that will be the highest price (I believe Equipment 1 is set at around $300).

When finished, it will probably have around 100 individual images.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
