Woodland Core Set

ADD TO WISHLIST >

I am so excited to offer this set! I got sick of having loose scatter on a battle mat and so decided to make an FDG community forest tile set. All tiles are 4x4 anddesigned in a way that preserves the grid without adding obnoxious lines. This set comes with many unique tiles. Printing just 1 of each tile provides over 3 and half square feet of play. When combine the other Woodland and Riverside sets, this can be expanded to nearly 20sqf of sprawling woodlands and rivers!

NOTE: This set does not include the Tree Tops. FDG Tree Set required. Set is playable without tops.

Update. I made a few more adjustments and it seems to have alleviated the issue. The players I DM for are really enjoying having the scenery as part of our game.

First of all, let me say that I really enjoy the look of these pieces. However, I am encountering a persistent level shift issue somewhere between 7 and 7.4 mm. I am slicing with Cura and printing on an Ender 3 pro at .1mm for improved detail. I do not encounter this issue with pieces of similar dimensions and complexity so I do not think it is how the printer is set. I have slowed the printer speed and made adjustments listed on other websites. I have encountered this issue with the woodland cliff set as well.

Chris,

I am glad you like them and sorry you are having a layer shift issue. Would you mind reaching out to me on Facebook messenger with a photo of the layer shift? That will help me determine how I can assist you. Thanks!

An actual preview would be nice. Even Google doesn't really help if someone wants to see pictures of these sets...

Are there edge pieces to these? For example if we only used a few tiles and wanted them to blend into a battlemat?

I thought about making some to go with this set, and I still may; however, the edges pieces in the link below work great for transitioning to battlemats.

I can't seem to find the 'FDG Tree Set' in order to print out the tree tops. Please provide a link.

Hi, There seem to be some Problems with your Tiles on Prusaslicer since they consist of multiple meshes. It would be great if you could fix this.

A workaround is to set the layerhight to 1.5mm.
This can be set for the layers between 5.2mm and 5.6mm height to optimize the print-time (tested with the ForestFloor2 Tile)

To improve the surface quality you can add a modifer from 6.4 to 9.4mm (=>.1mm Layerheight)

This reduces the printtime and improves the surface-quality

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
