Living today feels a lot like you’re being crushed under the weight of capitalism.

Every part of your life is controlled by trying to make enough money to survive while finding a smidgen of hope and joy so you don’t rot away. It’s every day. Day in, day out.

But you’ve decided you’ve had enough. Your friends have had enough, too.

The group of you have left the city now, with nothing but a letter and good vibes. You’ve been told to go to this new town out in the middle of nowhere, but you hope something is waiting for you out there. Something new, and something beautiful.

Wishing Well is a hack of Stewpot by Takuma Okada. It was edited by Marn, art by Cody Hawley. This is a ttrpg inspired by Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing, and Harvest Moon. It is a GMless game where you will play a series of mini games to tell a story.

In another website you seem to have this at $20 but here you have it at $30? My friend this might be what I was looking for but I'm not gonna pay that amount for this. Not even D100 Dungeon PDF is this expensive and it's a bigger game. I think I'll go back to the drawing board and make my own.

This price point crushed me under the weight of capitalism.

I suspect you'd find a much wider audience and greater success in the long run with a price point that fits customer's expectations for a <100-page count indie title!

Ummm....your first line is "Living today feels a lot like you’re being crushed under the weight of capitalism" and then you compare your game to stardew valley, animal crossing, and harvest moon, all 3 games of which are essentially capitalism simulators. Producing goods and selling them for a profit is what capitalism is.

Thirty dollars for 61 pages? I wish you well, and the game sounds charming, but if you expect ample sales at that price point, you are out of your Mesopotamian mind, my friend.

These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
