Love the book but I do have a few questions. Is the Snake Infusion changed to a Reflex save like the Line Infusion or is it an Attack Roll? If Snake Infusion is an Attack Roll is it one roll versus all targets or separate rolls for each target?
Does the Wall Infusion have a duration?
Can an Infusion like Disintegrating Infusion which requires Fire or Force Elemental Conduit be used on a Composite Blast that has one of those elements as part of it such as Magma Blast?

Why doesn’t the electrokinetic ever get a passive buff to speed? Considering how closely electricity is associated with speed and having a description that says “you become quicker than most mortals.” you don’t really move very fast. Really cool besides that.

Is the Legendary Kineticist supposed to get a class feat at 1st level? It's left off the class table and not in the description. Yet, there are 1st level Legendary Kineticist feats.

All pathfinder 2e classes need to have 1st level class feats, regardless if the class gives them or not. This was probably intentional.

I did just realize the "full casters" don't have an automatic class feat at first level either. New to Pathfinder 2 still.
They did leave out the "Class Feats" entry in the class list though. All the classes in the core book have it.

Oh nose... good catch if I can get Legendary to release a revision. Good catch!

And yeah, it's for those ambitious humans that sometimes get a bonus 1st level Class Feat. Turns out, humans make really good kineticists, just ask Ange or Korra.

I just want to say that I do actually really like this book. I honestly appreciate the design of porting this over into 2e with the way burn works in comparison to 2e, I think I'm especially appreciative of how much more general versatility you can have per element compared to a decent number of 1e options that locked you out of certain infusions kind of unreasonably before. And I'm excited to see you guys get the chance to come back with more additions to Legendary Kineticist for 2e hopefully.

Hi Vanessa
I have a question, which maybe that I am new to Pathfinder and I am missing something.

On page 3, fourth paragraph under Legendary Kineticist Spellcasting. The book states:
"even though your tradition is primal, you are only considered to have a spell on your spell list if the spell has a trait that matches one of your Elemental Conduits." Then use Fire as an example and it has both fireball and flame strike.

So in comparison to a sorcerer, who knows a certain number of spells at X level and can cast X number of spells per day. I did not find a sorcerer like chart nor text in the book that explains how to do it. Am I missing something?

Thanks for making the book. I like the Legendary Kineticists. I got both the book and the pdf. Your description of what the concept was based on (Avatar animation) was helpful when I suggested it to my partner as class to try out. She likes casting spells without having to count how many of which ones. ...See more

Hello!

I apologize it's taken so long to respond. The "considered to have a spell on your spell lists" is specifically for using magic items like scrolls, wands, and staves. The Legendary Kineticist doesn't have spell slots, but just uses their blast cantrip(s) and infusion focus spells to modify their cantrip.

It allows a player to play a blasting spellcaster without having to track spell slots. The only thing to track will be focus points. You'll find lower overall numbers than a blasting sorcerer, but far more staying power. The mechanical niche of the Legendary Kineticist is in the ability to pour out round-after-round of area of effect attacks.

Hi folks, some great questions!

Spark of Life continues on page 24 and can be heightened to level 10. It should read as follows:
Heightened (3rd) Maximum Level 2.
Heightened (4th) Maximum Level 3.
Heightened (5th) Maximum Level 5.
Heightened (6th) Maximum Level 7.
Heightened (7th) Maximum Level 9.
Heightened (8th) Maximum Level 11.
Heightened (9th) Maximum Level 13.
Heightened (10th) Maximum Level 15.

Extreme Range does not have a prerequsite, but takes up a higher Class Feat level where more powerful options are. Fun fact! Originally this was a 6th level feat but I found it had too much competition with the Expanded Element feat and other similarly powerful options that gave access to more powerful blasts. The biggest difference is that Extended Range is level 1, making it immediately available to humans and other starting characters with access to a bonus 1st level feat.

Ah, ever the infinite healing question. Legendary kineticists...See more

Hi! I have a question: is it intended for a aether/water kineticist to be able to quickly heal the party back up to full by using Gather Power + Kinetic Healing outside of combat?

I understand PF2 now includes many options in their core rulebook to do similar things (like a Champion's LOH or Battle Medicine + Continual Recovery), but I believe they are limited to having at least 10 minutes in-between each heal, so as to be easier to determine for the GM whether they have the time to or not.

From my understanding of the abilities, a Kinetic Healer could be healing 100 times faster than other classes outside of combat. Is this intentional?

Yes and no. 2e includes lots of ways (that you list) for using a focus spell to heal and then taking 10 minutes to Refocus and get the Focus Point back. Kinetic Healing can be continuous using this method. However, since Kinetic Healing isn't an infusion, it's not effected by Gather Power.

Is Extreme Range meant to have Extended range as a prerequisite? As written, it currently doesn't, but that seems like an oversight.

It could have... but as it's a higher level feat I felt it was balanced against other higher level options.

Love the book, but for the Spark of Life class feat, the heightened levels don't actually increase after the first. That's the only mistake I noticed, and I'm pumped to use this in my next game!

Thanks Christopher H!

Great catch on the missing 17th level defense. It's in my original text but somehow got missed during layout. The 17th level Elemental Defense for electricity is as follows:

Electricity: You move faster than should be possible for mortals. Your proficiency rank for Reflex saves increases to legendary. When you roll a critical failure on a Reflex save, you get a failure instead. When you fail a Reflex save against a damaging effect, you take half damage.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
