The Icons of Scourge is a system-agnostic compendium about seven religious icons for RPGs. Preferably, they work best in fantasy or comparative settings similar to European medieval to early 18th-century technology and culture. Each icon comes with an introductory text and eight categories of D6 tables. Use them as starting points or inspiration for your adventure.
What are the Seven Icons of Scourge?
The Icons of Scourge are each an indestructible artifact about the size of an open hand and made of a painted wood-like material. Each icon also represents a unique phenomenon or philosophical theme and can change the reality around itself according to its inherent nature. But it has no consciousness or will and should not be considered evil or good. It exists beyond morality as the literal manifestation of an idea with a preprogrammed function.
Buy The Icons of Scourge if you want to incorporate an object that breaks down and reforms reality without malice but that still should be considered very dangerous.
A few of the descriptions in this compendium could be considered unsettling for some, but nothing out of the ordinary if you are used to horror games.
