I've run a couple of adventures from this book, and they are a lot of fun! Good writing, and nice assets.

Any chance in getting these adventures split up in their own pdf? I love the hardcover as it is, but would enjoy being able to grab each adventure on its own in PDF without having to shuffle through the full PDF. Thanks

What exactly is the difference between Premium and Standard color? Just nicer art?

Hello Paul! The difference is paper and print quality. Though I find the Standard color perfectly fine, the Premium color has better color and a glossy appearance.

I played the first adventure from Adventures from the Potbellied Kobold for my daughter and her friends. They were very engaged in the adventure and had a lot of fun to the point where they want to put their regular campaign on hold to continue with this. I observed them becoming very attached to the npc. I cant recomment this book enough.

Recommend or Not?
Conditional Recommend! If you don't need short adventures, you don't need this. If you don't need content for levels 1 through 9, you don't need this. If you're miraculously talented at pulling NPCs, adventures and twists out of thin air - you don't need this book! But for the rest of us - and I'm guessing the majority of us - this product holds some real value. I can always use content to panic-play at a moment's notice when my players do something unexpected and skirt around the town I thought they'd spend 3 hours in! (This happened last week. I'm not bitter!)

I also think this is a GREAT product to have around for that day when you know one player won't be able to show - and you have someone else who wants to DM for the first time. This is a GREAT way to get them into the big chair - the adventures are short, the prep is minimal, there's no long tern commitment, most of the possibilities are covered and if they don't like it - no big deal, it was only 2 hours anyway. This book is a treasure. I came into ownership of it after speaking with the author about a DnD club I'm running and one glance got me excited. A light perusal inspired me, and a detailed read secured Jeff Stevens Games as a go to source for Dungeons and Dragons content from now on. You won't regret buying this one - it's full of *great* stuff

I love this book. I received my hardcopy of the book recently. Overall I am so very impressed with this book. Not only are there some really fun scenarios by some well-known personalities, the others are fantastic and so creative as well.

The editing and colors/art in this are truly some of the best in the business. I find myself just flipping through this often and smiling at the images and imagining players when they go through the adventures for the first time.

I have been very impressed by this product. It is well written and I like how it also uses monsters from Kobold Press. Very much worth owning.

Are the maps in the pdf both for DMs and for players? I couldn't find player-version maps just by looking at the preview but saw it was a kickstarter feature.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
