The competitive world of college sports can have a significant impact on institutions of higher learning, and the colleges and universities of Freedom City are no different in that regard. The success of a sports program can bring in huge amounts of income from ticket sales, alumni donations, sponsorships, and licensing--enough for a college to overlook some potentially dangerous practices. In this particular case, those practices hold the seeds of something truly sinister: a scheme by a supervillain to turn people into his mind-controlled minions! Can the heroes track down the source of Freedom College’s new performance-enhancing supplements before a menacing villain’s green thumb sows weeds in the city’s heart?

Green Thumb, Black Heart is an adventure for four to six PL 10 heroes. It can be adjusted for smaller teams or lower-PL heroes by decreasing the number or power level of the opponents the heroes encounter. While the adventure begins in Freedom City and includes an iconic Freedom City villain as its prime antagonist, it can easily be set anywhere on Earth Prime or in your own setting with your own plant-power villain or botanical mad scientist.
