PURCHASER

This product has some flawed descriptions and the author could use an editor but Steven's take on Dungeon tables includes some unique ideas as well as older, more mundane dungeon dressing tips.

I recommend purchasing it on sale unless it is heavily updated and improved.

I don't know why it won't let me review it after I bought it, but I would give it 3 stars.

Not much of a fan to be quite honest. Provides lots of detail for specific objects and details but no tables for actually generating a dungeon. I was looking for an expansion on the quick build tools from the DMG but no such luck. Additionally, no tables to generate what to place in rooms. To make use you would already have to have the initial rooms and contents determined and use this to color in detail. That's nice, but I don't know anyone who has that much time AND can't decide lore or reasoning behind the contents already in there. I can tell work and thought went into it, but I don't see its usefulness for me. Save your money, I wish I had.

I too expected more random generation tables. I was expecting something akin to the Appendices of TSR's 1st Ed. DMG.

While this item lacks those, they are available. Message me & I can privately share some random generation tables for free. I don't think I still have copies of custom stuff I made long ago, but I suppose if many people wished, I could re-construct them.

What Steven has provided is some rough ideas for stories & a rough sort of dungeon dressing. The information he includes can be useful for a busy GM who needs tips as to what sorts of descriptions might be most useful in various sorts of venues/dungeon chambers.
