Fantastic. The book leans hard into "discovery play" which is interesting enough and worth running, but Hardsuit itself has a lot of mechancis that work fantastic as hacks to add to any ICRPG game, like size / damage mechanics, the mechancis for the hardsuits themselves and power, and the grit dice. A very cool book, a great Hex-crawl adventure included, really interesting mechancis that I wish were in ICRPG master edition, and an innovative new way to play. As always Runehammer delivers on something akin to a garage band's demo CD that gets them signed immediately to a record label - I could see this being a must have or Ennie winner with the right publishing apparatus behind it. That said, I got a feeling old Hankerin is going to stick to do-it-yourself publishing though, which is great because we get innovative stuff and a fair price. Dig in!

Pros:

• Simple system
• Works very well. In my opininon for a lot of adventures works better than more populars aleternatives with two D in the tittle
• Fun and interesting mechanics (Karma, magic system, miracles system, Hero Dice, explode dices, etc)
• Complete manual (all-in-one: rules + monsters + items) in concise size
• Fun and good texts
• Visually it's pleasing
• Low price. When compare to other options the price is very good.

Cons:

• Not level system progression

Generally I'm not a fan of simple systems and I don't like systems without level progression. However this system works very well in my games, is fun, fast and fluid, and the players enjoy it.

As a Fantasy concise system I give him a perfect score 100/100.

As a Fantasy system in general I give him a score of 95/100. In my opinion, to be perfect the system needs some system of progression by levels or perhaps tiers (with for example 3 tiers). I don't know if is possible to include the level progression without breaking the balance of the game. In fact is well know that some populars games with level progressions only works well at a specific interval of levels and simply breaks in high levels. Before reading and directing games with this systems my opinion was that rpg are strong associated with systems of level progression but my opinion has changed. It is obviously possible do and plays a good rpg experience without level progression.

To sum up: I Highly Recomend the purchase of this book.

A great follow up book to a great system. I love the fact it is not a "world book". Great section on setting up quests for your group and fun examples of story beats. If you are a fan of EZD6 and looking for some inspiration, this is a great place to start. Thank you DM Scotty.

Wow, this is the REAL DEAL! Wasn't sure what to think at first. Thought it would maybe be too simple. BOY was I wrong! The simplicity of this system is refreshing! It makes it very easy to custom your game the way you would like it and make stuff on the fly. Ran the game for my kids a few times, and the funny thing is that it was faster and more fluid than most of the games I ran with 5e with my regular players.

A lot of ideas can easily be ported to other systems, and use this system to play any settings!

Highly suggest you go watch Runehammer YOUTUBE channel or RPG Mainframe - HANKERIN FERINALE / Brandish Gilhelm / Runehammer is a MAD GENIUS - All the Ideas he talks about are really worth your time.

What a breath of fresh air! This is by far my favourite rules light system I've both read and used. You can hold all the game rules in your head. It was easy to teach the game to my wife before we played a short adventure together. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to run a one player adventure because the Karma and Hero Dice systems give characters a few ways to avoid bad rolls that could cause an early death. Those game mechanics are fun for players too. One of the problems with most other systems is that players that want to play wizards often have to waste a lot of time reading lists of spells before they even create a character. The spell system here is both simple and elegant. It's as easy to create a wizard or a warrior. The character creation rules strike a nice balance between quick character creation and customization. It's easy to homebrew new classes or inclinations if you want even more options. If you don't like the loot system, then use your own. You can also convert monsters or adventures from nearly any system on the fly. I like this system so much that it has replaced every other system I've used or read. This is all I want or need. I'm sick of rules getting in the way of the game I want to play. I don't have the time or energy to waste.

Great simple game! This is what I play with my family. The D6 mechanics are easy to explain and understand. I apreciate a complete game that's complex enough and interesting, yet still fits in a small book!

The drawbacks for me, is that progression is very equipment based. But, there is a lot to like here!

Everything you need to be a player in Index Card RPG. This is what you refer your players to after you buy the Master Edition!

Yes! If your groupd insists on playing 5e, but you'd prefer to play a more old school game: see if you can get everyone on board with "Hardcore Mode" It fixes a lot of problems I have with 5e.. I'd rather just play an old school game, but "Hardcore Mode" is a good comprimise.

Simple rules for any wargame!

The rules do a good job of getting out of the way to you can have fun and not have to constantly look things up.

Just complex enough that there is a lot of tactical play. And flexible enough that you could accommedate just about any setting.

Simple space mechanics in an ICRPG style. Better than most without taking too much time. Well done!

Fun little game! The extras alone make it worth it. If you like using index card maps, this comes with full colour versions. Very nice!

Also, makes me want to watch "Aliens" again... that's never a bad thing!

Fast and fun game to play while waiting for other players to arrive. It's silly and glorious!

Simple but with content, doesn't need players to read tons and tons of information just to get the basic of the game. A DM needs to read everything, but the system is easly explained to the players during the game, it flows really well, no need to be reading list of spells and actions options etc. Gives an amazing freedom of play, to players and freedom of expression to the DM's Has good solid core system rules and even an interesting and good philosophy for DM's to embrace the role of creator. With this book, you'll get the core system, plus 5 different worlds connected to each other (has in, you can use itens from 1 world to another for example) mediavel magic, sci fi fantasy, western fantasy, super heroes world and pre-historic fantasy. Good for one-shot adventures and also medium and long term campaigns. Amazing system to start TTRPG's and very good as well for veterans.

Simple and fun. A great set of house rules to hack DnD 5e. Do not get caught in the details, you can change a few things you do not like (I did not like the candle, except for a one specific campaign where there is something tied to it). Great ideas in there. The zones system, grit yout teeth, the xp table and many, many of the ideas here are just brilliant. And it's 3.50 USD, what's not to like?
