Triforged RPG Core (and Forests of the Moon Part 1)
by Ralf [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 10/27/2023 21:10:18

Triforged by DiscoSoup is a lightweight, setting agnostic RPG that comes with its own Hack Pack for you to use and a pre-made fantasy setting - Forest of the Moon - to try it our right away. And when I say right away, I mean it. Experienced role-players will pick Triforged up in no time and even novice players will get the hang of it quickly by playing Forest of the Moon. The game mechanics are easy to grasp and Forest of the Moon is a great way to get started!

Zach's Book

Rest in Peace Zach (I hope he knew Jesus)... His resources have helped many people with their adventures - both solo and in groups. Our hobbies would never have been the same without him... He really lived up to his name, Zach Best - my condolences go to his family and friends.

Robots for Cepheus Deluxe
by Jon B. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 08/14/2022 14:59:16

Much better now that there is the content described.

For a dollar you get information about running robots in Cepheus. A large amount of the content is actually desctibing vehicles the TransformerXenobots can morph into. The cover art is kickass though.

Jon, I am very sorry for the lack of content. I've updated the file to be the correct version now. It should have gotten through sooner. For some reason Drivethru's not sending me updates from customer reviews or comments. I'd have had this fixed on day one otherwise.

BYO Pirate Quest Collaborative Adventure Design
by Lord S. E. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 07/18/2021 00:19:15

BYO Pirate Quest Collaborative Adventure Design I’ll start by saying, this isn’t what I expected. But that’s what I get for not reading the entire description. That said, this is a booklet of tracking sheets, each giving you a set of descriptors for ship stats, for both Hero ships and NPC ships, Monsters, ports, and islands. It is interspersed with rule suggestions, dice charts for weather & events. All in all it’s a handy little booklet, but mostly geared for B.Y.O. Dungeon rules.

~I’m Lord Skudley, and that’s my opinion.

The Exodus System
by Bob V. G. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 03/13/2020 12:40:30

For the past few days I have soloed my way through GenePals: A Monster Taming Ruleset for Savage Worlds. It is available at DriveThruRPG as free/pay what you want. Lately, Savage Worlds has been getting on my nerves, so I used The Exodus System to play it. It is available at DriveThruRPG for $2.80. The adventure is for a Game Master and several player characters. It is a ruleset, and has all of the pieces to make an adventure. I rolled up two male characters and one of the characters had a female companion. On day one the three of them captured five of the GenePals (think Pokemon) at the GenePals Park (think Jurassic Park). At this point the Smooth-talker saw an attractive female at the petting zoo. So, since he was in the "catch them all" frame of mind, he asked her out for dinner and they ended up having a different kind of adventure. On day two, the four of them went down to the hotel restaurant for breakfast. They heard loud noises in the kitchen and then a female scream. Next, a monstrous GenePal comes out to take their order wearing a torn skirt and an apron. The adventurers went into attack mode (we did not have all of our weapons) and captured this GenePal as it was trying to get to its cleaver. We had to fight our way back to our room, back down to the lobby, through the park, and all the way to the spaceport. During this mess the new girlfriend died along with her GenePal (stupid dice). Quick Draw was able to capture six more GenePals. They had no idea what went wrong at the park, they were just glad to get the heck out of there. So, our total score was 11 captured GenePals. How many will you capture?

OSR Sci Fi GM Screen
by Lonnie B. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 03/04/2019 15:49:40

Only two pages are useful as a generic screen. One has information about combat. The other has random enemy and mission tables, which aren't really that useful. The rest is info about a homebrew campaign setting, which is neat but not very useful in a GM screen. Not what I was looking for at all, and really not what it was advertised as.

The Exodus System
by Judd G. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 07/03/2018 18:06:59

The Exodus System is a simple game with a lot of good ideas in it. Some of the most innovative gaming ideas of recent history have been elded to a simple OSR sensibility.

Characters are built on atrribute dice, a Professional Selection, A combat Mode Selection, Two Flavors (these are packets of "Cool things" similar to Cypher System's Foci), and a set of skills.

Task resolution is simple and fast, like most OSR titles. Ther are also some tables and suc h to aid with adventure design ideas for GMs stuck for an idea.

The material inside has what is needed to play, but I am sure anyone who reads it is going to be inspired to craft a few Flavors of their own, and I am sure that is exactly what Mr. Ross wants you to do. Indeed, the first supplement showcases a custom flavor to give mechanical advantages to centuar characters.

There is some very nice art in the book and the layout is clean and sharp. Thunderegg has been very repsonsive adding features and options to the PDF to make it more useful, and that shows a great repsect and dedication to their customers.

Thanks for the review! Yes, I would love to see more fan-made Flavors. One fellow made up three sweet Flavors, including Subterranean, Doomed and Gingerbread Man. I'm actually gearing up to play either a Doomed Gingerbread Man or a Raging Gingerbread Man right now.

Product has strange unreadable printing, completely illegible.

Just downloaded today 6/14/18 at 5PM. central time on an Android system on a Galaxy S8 plus.

Repeated download 4 times with no improvement.

File is legible on PC, but not on Android where I need it, even after dragging the file from the PC?

(Exodus_System_Core_Book_PRINT.pdf) worked, thanks!

Stephen, I'm sorry that you're having this issue. Are you using a version of the file that you downloaded before yesterday evening? What device/program are you using to read? Other folks have reported a problem with the fonts when reading the PDF on their phones. It's always worked perfectly on my phone, so I'm not sure which devices have the issue. I applied a fix last night and was told that it solved the problem. It might work for you now if you re-download.

I bought this because the product description was mostly about mechanics for running clans, but that was only a small part of the product and included almost nothing that I found useful.

Exodus System SRD
by Sophia B. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 10/17/2017 12:36:35

Edit: Jacob lowered the price from $4.99 to $1.99, so I'm giving the game 4/5 stars.

Excerpt from the full review: https://dieheart.net/exodus-system-srd-review/

The ruleset delivers on being simple and genre-neutral (geared towards slightly heroic antics). I love the open design: no classes, free-form skills, mix character roles. I like the task resolution and the combat system. Within its scope, it offers a lot of flexibility.

It pains me to say: I don't find the game worth the $5. Exodus System SRD has some neat ideas. With its lackluster presentation and the high amount of alternative (free) games, it still falls short.

I would have liked to see it as a Pay-What-You-Want product. Then add a "premium PDF". It could have a nicer style, some artwork, digital bookmarks and "exclusive content" (e.g., more roles).

This is a reading review, so take it with a grain of salt.
