Western is more than a game - it is the illusion of the perfect Western experience. Lukas Thelin's illustrations are impeccable and each image is a token of his craftmanship.
The detail of the weapon- and steed-chapters are amazing, and give a good view of the time in which the game is set.
The core of the rules is good, and it is a system that is easy to understand. The summary of the rules on the very first page of the rulebook is enough to play. However, I feel that the more detailed rules (damage, bleeding, proficiencies and such) add too many steps to each round, and make the game unnecessarily complicated for my taste. The crosshair for shooting is amazing, though.
All in all, this is a great game, and the books are incredible. I highly recommend this to everyone who has a soft spot for the Western theme, both in art and RPGs. This is the Swedish version, but the English one is coming, and I have no doubts that it will be as amazing as this one.
Pros:
-Easy rules
-Cool illustrations
-Detailed descriptions
-Crosshair mecanics
Cons:
-Too many extra rules in some places
-A bit too many steps to make a character
