The Book of Random Tables
by Noah M. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 04/24/2018 20:51:05

I've been a follower of the Dicegeeks newsletter for a long time and have nothing but positive remarks about the author and his creations. This very well priced book saves me a ton of time at my gaming table. While being able to randomly roll for content is part of the fun of these tables; they also serve as great inspiration for a scene. Sometimes I'll just go down the list and it helps inspire me to create much more immersive and interactive adventure settings. This book also helped expand my vocabulary with some of the items I found inside.

I needed some quick drawings to sketch locations during sandbox adventures and 33 DUNGEON MAPS fit particularly well. I have detailed The Tomb of Isumbra for undead boss enemy, and I lead a great session. Thx for the maps, great job!

10 Dungeon Maps with Seed Ideas
by James J. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 04/24/2018 09:52:50

Just about any pre-constructed maps are worth the cost to the DM, in my humble opinion. These are excellent for those times when the players decide to explore something you mentioned out of hand. Pair this up with dicegeeks Random Tables and you have an excellent set of resources for keeping the play smooth and uninterrupted.

This is a concise assembly of many tables which help me run a game. One may purchase all separately, but having them in a single file is a time-saver for me.

Items in a Bandit Hideout
by Dave L. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 03/02/2018 12:39:19

Need a little inspiration? You're a DM/GM, of course you do (from time-to-time)! This is a tidy little chart that can add some solid flavor to your descriptions and plant some nice seeds of further adventure. I used this in our homebrew campaign to put the finishing touches on a bandit camp that had been destroyed by some rampaging Bullettes. The caged snake and unsent letter the party discovered in one of the tents were particularly enjoyable in that they added some memorable roleplaying moments and tie-ins to the greater campaign story arc. Could you think of these things on your own? Of course you could, but would you?? It's free - just get it now! And... thank you Dicegeeks!

Gemstones - Three 1D100 Tables
by Stephanie S. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 02/26/2018 16:36:59

This is literally just a list of gems, no description, no value listed. If I need to look up what kunizite is and how much it is worth, I wouldn't need the table. If the table at least had gp or sp value, it would be so much more useful!

1930's American Surnames
by Andy T. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 09/01/2017 18:31:38

I have no complaints about the price, nor the cover that evokes the Great Recession of the 1930s. I felt that the printing inside of the names could have stood out a bit more, but it does what it says on the tin. It lists 200 typical surnames from the 1930s. For someone who is grasping at what surname to call their latest pulp character or a local NPC beat cop in 1930s New York, this is a valuable asset that provides enough to fill that gap.

ANARCHY: The Role Playing Game
by A customer [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 08/07/2017 15:54:59

I have to admit that I'm not the optimal reviewer for this product. After reading the premise, and having really enjoyed the author's other works, I swooped right in and grabbed this.

The issue, for me, is that this is much more of a mechanical rulebook than it is a setting book. It's kind of a shame, because you can catch fleeting glimpses of a rich and exciting post-apocalyptic setting -- not an easy feat when in such well-trod territory!

The book does lay out several example encounters, and it's possible that this is all intended as Mind Fertilizer, so that any GM can truly make the game their own. There's certainly nothing wrong with that, but I can't help but get the feeling that Matt Davids has already done a lot of work to make a vibrant, living, radioactive world behind his screen, and I'd love to take a look.

The product is truly put together very well. The layout and graphics are pretty slick, the rules do look like they'd make for some nail-biting gameplay, and there are random tables galore. If that's something you're looking for, you'll be satisfied! In the meantime, I'll hope that DiceGeeks release a campaign sourcebook that details the history and flavor of the setting.

Thanks for the thoughtful review! I'm sorry it didn't meet your expectations. However, I do have a campaign setting book in the works.
