A fun, dark, and unique kids adventure. Many children's RPG adventures are purposefully railroaded to keep kids focused and engaged. The Village Monster is no exception, but it does it a tad differently. Several times diring the game, the players will have to make decisions that cause small changes to the environment, characters, or combat. The changes aren't huge, and the adventure ends the same way no matter what choices are made, but it grant the kids the feeling of having more control over the world around them.
I enjoyed this characteristic, and I really enjoyed the story. It is well-written, and it has a pretty good twist about halfway through the game.
