Impressively done to say the least. An unassuming looking product that is chalk full of everything you could possibly desire to run a solo campaign. When COVID-19 began shutting down everything, I turned back to solo roleplaying, and I have reacquired much of my know-how of what makes a fantastic solo game tick.
Underneath the plain product cover is a powerful solo system that is indepth, yet super simple. There are 36 abilities present and multiple classes/races to choose from. This means you can highly customize your character. The toolkits in the book for building your dungeons/world are thorough. With the world generation and the menagerie of characters to select, you can play SCRAWL indefinitely. Listed as a PWYW, this system should be a no-brainer purchase.

So good. There is so much story-telling power in these unbelievably simplistic rules. I "scoffed" at the childish simplicity at first, then I played the game with my youngins. Seeing how the simpleness of the rules gave them so much incredible freedom to truly flesh out their characters was amazing. This is the perfect first step to setting your children on an RPG path, and especially a path that embraces heavy-storytelling RPGS. Bravo!

The Village Monster - A Hero Kids Compatible Adventure

A fun, dark, and unique kids adventure. Many children's RPG adventures are purposefully railroaded to keep kids focused and engaged. The Village Monster is no exception, but it does it a tad differently. Several times diring the game, the players will have to make decisions that cause small changes to the environment, characters, or combat. The changes aren't huge, and the adventure ends the same way no matter what choices are made, but it grant the kids the feeling of having more control over the world around them.

I enjoyed this characteristic, and I really enjoyed the story. It is well-written, and it has a pretty good twist about halfway through the game.
