Full disclousure: this game would like you to have three good sets of differently colored D6s, a handful of other dice, a deck of cards, and if possible a second deck of specially made cards to play. there's a lot of different things going on with the mechanics and i can honestly say it's easy to get overwhelmed.

If that doesn't instantly turn you off, good news! Forbidden lands is a rich, colorful dark fantasy setting where all the races have interesting things about them, conflict is both rife and as risky as it is rewarding and the stories in the world are a great background to play off. this is an RPG that seeks to bring the lessons of roleplaying today to you alongside the colorful and unsoftened trappings of the first RPGs, good for new players or old vets.

as i got it free as part of a promotion, 5 stars.

A collection of moderately develop characters for WFRP. these are the cast used in the game's art, so they're good for brutally murdering in fron of the players to send the message you aren't going to let them off the hook too much longer.

some of the stats don't properly add up (the halfling's wounds the most notable offense here) so i don't think you can use them as PCs without issue. 5 stars anyways for being free.

If you know palladium games, you know what this is gonna be, and it's a pretty good collection, well worth buying the main book.

If you don't know palladium games, there's a nice "in-universe" blurb about life in the RIFTs setting while on the road, and then a good collection of hungry, horriffic, and sometumes humorous monsters, with palladium's through stat system that's more than enough for you to convert these to another system if you need to. the last two monsters have incomplete stats, which is fine. this is a preview after all! after seeing how much stuff they put into just the free sample, you ought to realize it's worth getting the full course.

A collection of paragraph-long adventure seeds building off the adventure hooks in the WFRP 4th rulebook, all based in the Riekland with little enough detailing that most can be relocated anywhere in the empire and a few loosely done enough you could drop them into entirely different settings.

Most of them aren't terribly good, and a couple are entirely unusable as they are but it's a free resource for GMs to poach ideas from to pad out their own adventures. And you should never disparage free material.

The same night of blood they had ages ago, now cleaned up and reworked for the new edition. A good buy at a couple of bucks, but it's free(currently)! Might be a little light on pacing for a less confident GM, so be sure to read through it a few times before running.

A working introduction to the new edition, but it's a bit unpolished and trying too hard to remind you this is warhammer in places while not having a clear idea of how to apply certain aspects of the rules.
