Arkham is rife with intrigue at the best of times, and this adventure will thrust the characters right into the thick of it at the highest level! As the background sets out, the arranged marriage between the scions of two of the most influential houses is at risk, and the characters are asked to find out what is going awry and set matters straight.
Being Arkham, however, it is more than lovelorn teenagers unhappy about being treated as pawns by their families...
There are contacts to be made and locations to be visited, plenty to keep the characters occupied and sweep them along in the course of the adventure. Wise characters, however, will consider the ramifications of employing violence carefully - the Arkham PD is likely to be on hand swiftly, especially where the higher reaches of society are involved.
As befits an investigation, this part of the adventure is quite free-form. As the characters move to each location you find descriptions and people to hand to deal with their enquiries - both ones that will be helpful to their quest and the odd red herring to throw in! These are clearly tagged for your convenience. Maps and other details are also supplied, as are a set of pre-generated characters (or Personas, as this ruleset would have them) for those who wish to dive straight into the adventure or should their current personas not be suitable for quite such rarified society. For this is indeed the sort of setting where formal attire and stately manners will be to your advantage!
It's an interesting plot and one with plenty of scope for further development as the swirling intrigue that is Arkham develops in your game.
