extremely handy and easy to use. i use it both for prep and during session for ideas.

What a great handbook! It streamlined my worldbuilding and breathed life into every city my players encountered. I've printed this handbook, along with the NPC handbook of the same author. There hasn't been a single session that I haven't opened at least one of them. I use mutliple d20s for quick rolls.

Definitely a game changer for prepping sessions and building out my homebrew world. I'm a big fan of the NPC handbook from the same author and when I saw this I had to pick it up. I really love some of the more flavor-based tables like "reasons for people to be here." Such a crazy value at this price.

First of all, the art is amazing. It really helps getting a good picture, and inspires you just as much as the tables and text he's providing in this handbook. It sets the tone, and you can see every picture is carefully curated to aid in the process of creating your own fantasy city for your campaign. Secondly, each option is carefully explained and detailed in easy-to-understand text. But it remains vageu enough to still give you the feeling that you've creating these settlements yourself. Most generators do everything for you, and it becomes repetitive and not really your "own" thing. These tables that are provided in the book are the opposite. They are reminiscent of the tables for character creation, bonds/flaws/ideals/goals and thus provide enough to get you going, but do not take over entirely. Some tables that are provided in the book are about Size and population, and what consquences each choice has. Or what races are in your settlement, and what the race relationships are! What is the settlement known for, features of note and my favourite table; the behaviour of people! I normally never thought about that, and after using it in my own campaign I've gotten the feedback of my players that my cities and villages are so much more memorable! I'd recommend this resource to everyone, it's invaluable! If only because it's the best kickstarter to a memorable visit any where in your world.

I'm currently designing a fresh Campaign and this Handbook was the bread and butter in creating cities for some random encounters, outside the main storyline, with ease ! I ,for sure, will use it again in the future in between sessions or even live !

There's a lot of beautiful art in this book. Also it's not just for creating new cities. It's a great book for spicing up existing ones. Highly recommended.
